CD 4.1x
  • CD 4.1x

The CD 4.1 is Audio Note UK’s statement one-box compact disc player. Designed to take the concept further than ever before, the player effectively combines a CDT-Two transport with a DAC-2.1x converter in the same housing, but with component upgrades to take the performance to a totally new level. Audio Note tantalum resistors are used with Cerafine capacitors and Audio Note copper foil output capacitors to provide maximum sonic benefits. Particular attention has been paid to power supply circuitry in the player to minimise noise and interference – to the extent that even the display has its own dedicated supply. The circuit provides clock-locked coupling between the transport and DAC, and the player overall provides a stunning presentation of the ultimate capability of digital music.

In our demos we have found members of the public not talking but listening and listening for hours - one fellow stayed for two days! The player seems to disarm the audience and delivers finally what CD promised.

The CD4.1x uses the revolutionary and currently exclusive Audio Note digital technology dubbed the 1x oversampling direct from disc circuit topology. The ultimate version of this technology is found in the extremely expensive DAC5 Signature, and we have taken great to ensure that as much of the inherent advantages of the topology have been retained in the sound of the CD4.1x.

The technology dispenses with all the correction measures inherent in all other D-A converters and presents the digital signal directly to the converter after reformatting. This allow you to hear what is actually recorded on each disc, rather than, as has been the case up to now, some technically and cosmetically altered version, as a result the reproduction is more reminiscent of a master tape in quality.

Both front controls and remote. This highly musical player is available with a face plate in either brushed aluminium or polished black acrylic to match other products in the Audio Note range.
